Republicans love the rich, but hate the idea of anyone new becoming rich. Time and time again they push forward an agenda to keep wages low, shrink the middle class, and prevent economic mobility. Their latest attack on American workers is especially vile.
House Republicans just passed a bill that would allow employers to replace time-and-a-half pay with paid time off.
Since employers decide when that time off can be used, the measure allows them to postpone compensation for untenable stretches of time. For parents trying to support children, or anyone working paycheck to paycheck, this is a devastating blow.
No Democrat voted in favor of the bill.
Unsurprisingly, Trump has endorsed the disastrous legislation. Elizabeth Warren, Trump’s polar opposite in competence, intelligence, and compassion was disgusted with the Republicans and took to Twitter to attack the the bill:

Warren is a stalwart defender of American families. She’s absolutely right that workers need help now more than ever. It’s good to know we have someone in our government who will go toe-to-toe with Trump’s barbaric regime.
