While the Republicans have been doing victory laps for surpassing the first of many hurdles in their quest to take health coverage away from tens of millions of Americans, Hillary Clinton is continuing to focus on the wellbeing of working families across the nation.
In some of her strongest words yet, Hillary called out the Republican vote for exactly what it is: Shameful. A failure. Immoral.
More importantly, she renewed a call for action. Republicans may be doing touchdown dances, but they know full well that today’s vote only sends an unpassable bill to the Senate and leaves Obamacare intact for the foreseeable future.
This does not mean that the American people are by any means out of the woods. What it means is that the resistance is working, and if we continue to fight back, we will continue to win.
Trump and his lackeys are counting on the resistance tiring out. The strong words of Hillary Clinton, along with the millions who have taken to the streets and made their voices heard by members of Congress, send a powerful signal that we are not going anywhere.
