The Racist Who Attacked The Muslim Family Just Got What He Deserves
“Green tank-top Guy,” the Trump supporter who verbally assaulted and physically threatened a Muslim family on the beach in South Padre Island, Texas, has a name: Alexander Jennes Downing. He’s from Connecticut, and the video of his drunken rampage went viral this week:
Mr. Downing was subsequently arrested shortly after the incident at The Pearl South Padre Island Resort, and formally charged with public intoxication. According to the South Padre Island Police Department report, Downing “was intoxicated in a public place and was a danger to himself and others.”
Among the more colorful of Mr. Downing’s, um, talking points, was this beauty:
“You will never ever, ever, ever stop me. My Christianity will rise above your Sharia law. Guess what? ISIS don’t mean sh_ _ to me, mother f_ _ _ er! Donald Trump! Donald Trump! Donald Trump! Donald Trump gots you mother f_ _ _ers. My country is the greatest country in the world!”
As disturbing and disgusting as the video is, perhaps his humbling, emasculating mugshot should be the image of this pathetic excuse for an American that we’re all left with.
No word from the White House on whether President Trump will offer to pay for Mr. Downing’s legal fees.
