Trump Just Insulted Stephen Colbert. Colbert’s Response Is EPIC

Late night host Stephen Colbert has been one of President Trump’s harshest, most tenacious critics – and the President has taken notice.

In a bombshell exposé published in Time Magazine this afternoon, Trump made his displeasure with the comedian plain to reporters Zeke Miller and Michael Scherer:

You see a no-talent guy like Colbert. There’s nothing funny about what he says. And what he says is filthy. And you have kids watching. And it only builds up my base. It only helps me, people like him. The guy was dying. By the way they were going to take him off television, then he started attacking me and he started doing better. But his show was dying. I’ve done his show. … But when I did his show, which by the way was very highly rated. It was high—highest rating. The highest rating he’s ever had.

Trump was of course responding to Colbert’s bleep-laced monologue on May 1st where he dressed-down the President in a manner usually reserved for cable.

Well, Colbert isn’t taking Trump’s Time Magazine swipe lying down, tweeting early this evening:

Set your DVRs and get your popcorn ready.
