Michelle Obama Just Broke Her Silence On Trump With A Passionate Takedown
At the beginning of the month, President Trump’s regime began a full-scale assault on the progress that Michelle Obama had made for childhood nutrition when she was First Lady of the United States.
Today at the Partnership for a Healthier America Summit Obama struck back (Video below.)
“If we want to make this country great, our kids need to be healthy,” Obama told the audience.
With an eloquence and understanding of the issues that we have not seen from the White House since Inauguration Day, Mrs. Obama made completely clear what she thinks of the abandonment of childhood nutrition.
“Why don’t you want our kids to have good food at school?” she said without mentioning Trump by name. “What is wrong with you?
“Think about why someone is ok with your kids eating crap? Why would you celebrate that?” she asked America’s mothers.
“You want to talk about nanny state and government intervention, well, ‘you just buy the food and be quiet and you don’t need to know what is in it,'” she added. “That is essentially what a move like this is saying to you moms.”
Even if the current First Family would rather enrich themselves than work for the American people, at least we know the Obamas are still fighting the good fight.
