An explosive new documentary released on Dutch television details Trump’s deep ties to Russian billionaire oligarchs, and chronicles his history of ominous business relationships to known Russian mafia figures – and it’s taking the internet by storm [watch below].
The documentary was released by Zembla with the following promotional description:
“For months, the FBI have been investigating Russian interference in the American presidential elections. ZEMBLA is investigating another explosive dossier concerning Trump’s involvement with the Russians: Trump’s business and personal ties to oligarchs from the former Soviet Union. Powerful billionaires suspected of money laundering and fraud, and of having contacts in Moscow and with the mafia. What do these relationships say about Trump and why does he deny them? How compromising are these dubious business relationships for the 45th president of the United States? And are there connections with the Netherlands? ZEMBLA meets with one of Trump’s controversial cronies and speaks with a former CIA agent, fraud investigators, attorneys, and an American senator among others.”
Much of the assertions made in the piece have been documented in the media, including here at Occupy Democrats. Nevertheless, the documentary is fascinating! It features rare video footage of Trump himself in interviews with foreign journalists that confront him on his relationship to Felix Sater, a known Russian mobster. There’s even footage of him giving shakey testimony under oath about Sater.
There’s a second part to this documentary as well, an exposé into Trump’s ties to an Israeli billionaire with links to the lucrative blood diamond trade in Sub-Saharan Africa.
