Liberal legend Michael Moore is returning to the big screen with a sequel to the world’s top-grossing documentary film, to be called Fahrenheit 11/9. He’s billing it as the movie that will end the Trump administration but in light of FBI Director James Comey’s memos, Moore’s film has a better chance of being an autopsy than the actual cause of death.
Moore and mega-producer Harvey Weinstein announced the project at the Cannes Film festival, where they are shopping the film to international distributors. THR reports:
Michael Moore and Harvey Weinstein are set to reteam for the first time since 2004’s Fahrenheit 9/11 on a Donald Trump documentary titled Fahrenheit 11/9.
“No matter what you throw at him, it hasn’t worked,” stated Moore. “No matter what is revealed, he remains standing. Facts, reality, brains cannot defeat him. Even when he commits a self-inflicted wound, he gets up the next morning and keeps going and tweeting. That all ends with this movie.”
Michael Moore’s hit movie about the Bush administration’s lies, which goaded America into the never-ending war in Iraq in 2008, earned $22 million dollars and won the prestigious Palm d’Or award at Cannes.
He released Trumpland the movie during last year’s election, which was filmed with an audience of Republican voters in Ohio. The experience caused Moore to presciently compare Trump with Brexit, and to issue a warning that Trump will win in the Rust Belt states which ultimately delivered a narrow electoral college victory to the Republicans
Since the election, Michael Moore has led the resistance and used his massive social media presence to inspire anti-Trump forces with his list 10 things we need to do to get rid of Donald Trump and share six reasons why Trump is an illegitimate President.
Presciently, Moore also called for Trump’s removal over General Flynn’s stunning resignation all the way back on the day it happened.
Now that even Trump’s loyalist White House staffers are admitting that they “don’t see any way Trump isn’t completely f*cked,” it seems a good bet that Moore’s movie will be about how Flynn’s traitorous service to a foreign power ultimately brought down the President and the Republican party.
