The Daily Beast reported that the situation at the White House last night was like a “morgue” after it was revealed that Trump had given top-secret information to the Russian ambassador and foreign minister.
Now that the New York Times has revealed that Trump told former FBI Director James Comey to kill the investigation into his disgraced former National Security Advisor Gen. Michael Flynn, one senior Trump official has summed it up quite succinctly:
“I don’t see how Trump isn’t completely fucked.”
Trump himself seems to agree with that assessment, as White House sources recounted to Democratic Coalition chairman Jon Cooper:
White House sources say Trump is cursing up a storm – ranting and raving. Yelling at staffers & using the "F" word. He's losing it tonight.

The constant cycle of crisis to crisis is weighing heavily on the overworked and often underqualified staffers. “I feel like running down the hallway with a fire extinguisher,” said one official.
“Every time I feel like we’re getting a handle on the last Russia fiasco, a new one pops. I guess I was wrong about the timing. We can’t even wrap up one Russia fiasco before we’re on to the next one.”
And on to the next one we shall be – it is only a question of when the news drops. Director Comey says he has memos and records of all his conversations with the President, and he’s made it clear that Trump is going to regret firing him very dearly.
Trump is about to learn the hard way that his little strongman dictator act isn’t going to fly in the United States of America. The rest of us can sit back and crack a smile of grim vindication as we watch Trump steer his ship of fools into an iceberg of his own hubris.
