In a newly released teaser for tonight’s The Daily Show episode, Trevor Noah touches upon the fact that Trump leaves on Friday for his first international trip. While this will be Trump’s first visit to foreign countries, Noah gave an alternative reason for his departure tomorrow:
“And at this point, it feels less like a trip and more like he’s fleeing the country,” Noah said. “Like, the captain of the plane would be like, ‘So Mr. President, what day do we get back?’ ‘Actually, it’s a one-way.’”
The late night host then jokes that Trump may have some trouble returning to American soil:
“Who knows? If this investigation moves fast enough, Trump might not be able to get back home because America doesn’t let criminals back into the country.”
The appointment of Robert Mueller as special counselor to the Russia investigation has incensed the President, who has said the new development “hurts this country terribly.” In actuality, Trump’s treasonous collusion with Russia to undermine our democracy have hurt the country far more than the appointment of a special counselor ever could.
