Trump Was Just Exposed Trying To Meddle With Comey’s Senate Hearing
Former FBI Director James Comey is set to testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee on Thursday in a high-stakes hearing that the entire nation will be eagerly watching.
Comey is expected to recount how the President of the United States, Donald Trump, attempted to bully him into prematurely ending the FBI’s investigation into Trump’s disgraced National Security Advisor, Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, over Flynn’s undisclosed communications to and payments from foreign agents.
Such behavior by the President is almost certain to be considered obstruction of justice and raises a whole new set of disturbing questions about the President’s frantic efforts to sweep the mountain of evidence that indicates improper collusion with the Russian Federation under the rug.
But Trump, who is teaching a master course in not learning from past mistakes, is still determined to dig himself into yet a deeper hole. Furious that he was unable to use his executive privilege to stop the testimony from happening, Trump is actively exploring other ways to derail the hearing.
To that end, Trump will dine tonight at the White House with Senators Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Tom Cotton (R-AR). The two men are prominent members of the Senate Intelligence Committee who will be asking questions of Comey on Thursday.
What could they possibly discuss over dinner, we wonder?

At this point, we can reasonably assume that Trump will be demanding their loyalty and then will be giving them their marching orders for the hearing, in a clear effort to interfere in the testimony of the man he fired.
We can safely make this assumption because Trump had a private dinner with Director Comey in which Trump demanded his loyalty and then demanded that he end the investigation into Gen. Flynn. Comey refused both requests and was promptly fired.
And as usual, there’s a Trump tweet for this. If you’ll recall, Trump turned Bill Clinton’s meeting with Attorney General Loretta Lynch on the tarmac of an airport during the election into a national scandal but is now engaging in the exact same kind of obviously suspicious behavior – except instead of mishandling classified information, which Trump has done countless times during his presidency, it’s two days before a hearing on his team’s potentially treasonous behavior.

Excellent point, Mr. President. Does anyone really believe Rubio and Cotton are visting the White House to not discuss the hearing they will be presiding over in two days?
We can expect to see spineless Rubio and traitor Cotton do their best to smear Comey and discredit him as best they can – but Comey’s testimony will speak for itself. The American people demand to know the truth about what really happened between Trump, Trump’s campaign team, and the Russian Federation – and now we might finally, finally, be getting some answers.
