President Trump stunned the nation this morning with a truly bizarre cabinet meeting that felt like it belonged in North Korea rather than the United States.
Trump wasted no time in congratulating himself for the spillover accomplishments of the Obama administration and for being the president “who’s passed more legislation, who’s done more things than what we’ve done” despite having not signed any major pieces of legislation.
He then went around the room and had his cabinet members sing his praises. “On behalf of the entire senior staff around you, Mr. President, we thank you for the opportunity and the blessing that you’ve given us to serve your agenda and the American people” effused Chief of Staff Reince Priebus.
Disgusted by the sycophantic fawning of Trump’s lackeys, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer called his staffers together for a mock cabinet meeting that ruthlessly roasted the eternally insecure Trump for demanding such a pathetic show of validation from the cabinet members of the United States government.
GREAT meeting today with the best staff in the history of the world!!! pic.twitter.com/ocE1xhEAac

Trump’s fondness for demanding public displays of loyalty has become a political flashpoint since former FBI Director Comey revealed that Trump demanded his loyalty and told him to shut down the investigation into disgraced National Security Advisor Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn.
Schumer’s little joke shows is a poignant satire of just how far our government has fallen. Instead of passing legislation or taking any actions to improve the lives of American citizens, our government is falling over itself to massage the ego of a spoiled man-child who is permanently high off the fumes of his own delusions.
