The “King of Horror,” Stephen King, has been an outspoken critic of Trump since the outset of his campaign. Our insecure President has finally taken the cowardly way out and blocked the iconic novelist on Twitter. King, not one to be outdone – especially by the President – struck back in an epic way.
Donald Trump blocked me on Twitter. I am hereby blocking him from seeing IT or MR. MERCEDES. No clowns for you, Donald. Go float yourself.
— Stephen King (@StephenKing) August 25, 2017
Mr. Mercedes is a critically acclaimed television series on Audience Network and IT is the reboot of King’s famous clown horror and one of the summer’s most anticipated movies.
While Trump is quick to immerse himself in self-congratulatory rallies, he has a shockingly low tolerance for criticism. Unsurprisingly, King is not the first Trump critic to get blocked on Twitter. From VoteVets.org, a veterans organization, to a writer for Jimmy Kimmel Live to athletes, tech journalists, and entrepreneurs, the President has proven on many occasions that he would rather silence his detractors than be the uniting force that he has so transparently claimed on many occasions.
In the meantime, it seems that Trump will have to stick to Fox & Friends the next time he needs some entertainment.
