Trump Just Attacked Another Republican Senator By Name In A Morning Twitter Tantrum
If President Trump keeps throwing his allies under the bus at this rate, soon, he won’t have anybody left to ride with.
The subject of today’s unhinged ire was Senator Bob Corker (R-TN) who told reporters last week, “The president has not yet been able to demonstrate the stability nor some of the competence that he needs to demonstrate in order to be successful.”
As if to prove Corker’s point Trump began his morning Twitter storm by complaining that Senate rules had kept him from passing any bills:
If Senate Republicans don't get rid of the Filibuster Rule and go to a 51% majority, few bills will be passed. 8 Dems control the Senate!

Then, eleven minutes later, in a stunningly unaware reversal (even by his own low standards) bragged about the number of bills he has passed:
Few, if any, Administrations have done more in just 7 months than the Trump A. Bills passed, regulations killed, border, military, ISIS, SC!

If the president actually cares about passing bills — and the jury is still out on that — he will need allies in Congress. So far, the Republican Senators he has attacked on Twitter have all been willing to vote with him on the extreme conservative agenda they share — Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Jeff Flake, and with the one notable exception of refusing to repeal Obamacare, even John McCain (R-AZ).
In going after Corker with the below tweet that questions Corkers electability, Trump has made another would-be ally into an opponent, effectively sabotaging any hope he has of salvaging his pathetic legislative legacy.
The silver lining for America: The less of Trump’s dangerous agenda that becomes law, the better off we’ll all be. So, by all means, Mr. President, tweet away.
Strange statement by Bob Corker considering that he is constantly asking me whether or not he should run again in '18. Tennessee not happy!
