As if our nation wasn’t dealing with enough tragedy already from the relentless onslaught of Hurricane Harvey, a mass shooting was just committed in Clovis, New Mexico.
Two are believed dead and four more injured after a perpetrator, believed to be a high school student, walked into a public library and opened fire. The shooter is now in police custody.

This will be the 245th mass shooting in the United States this year, according to Gun Violence Archive.org. 10,193 Americans have died from gun violence and another 20,000 have been injured – including nearly 500 kids under the age of 11.
But far from taking any actions to address the epidemic of gun violence in the United States and the reckless proliferation of deadly firearms to an astonishingly irresponsible civilian populace, the Trump administration has taken it upon themselves to help make it easier for people to get their hands on deadly weapons.
