Donald Trump is a humorless man incapable of laughing at himself. So naturally, he is a prime target for ridicule at the hands of comedians. The latest prank aimed at our petulant president may just be the best yet.
Gothamist reports that artists stocked the Trump Tower gift shop with KKK hoods, urine-proof bed sheets, Putin-themed postcards and other satirical merchandise.
The KKK hood attacks Trump’s infamous comments after Charlottesville, in which he talked about the “fine people” on both sides, defending Neo-Nazis and Klan members.

The Putin postcards take aim at the increasingly believable accusations that Trump colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election, and that Vladimir Putin now exerts control over the American presidency. In a similar vein, the pranksters stocked the shelves with “Trump American Flags” which were actually Russian Federation flags.
The urine-proof sheets are a reference to the allegations that Trump paid Russian prostitutes to urinate in front of him in a bed that Obama once used. It’s widely speculated that the incident may have been recorded and that the video has allowed Putin to blackmail Trump.
The pranksters, two New York artists, stocked their gag gifts on Monday. The staff of the gift shop failed to notice and didn’t remove them until Tuesday.
“We thought the tourists coming in to buy some stuff, especially people from other countries, should get the whole story of who the president is, because the items in the Trump store don’t accurately reflect the person,” one artist told Gothamist.
It’s unclear if Trump has been informed of the prank yet, but when he does it’s certain to get under his thin, orange skin.
