Trumpers Say Texas Mosque Refused To Help Christians, But There’s A Big Problem
The right-wing’s deplorable efforts to spread Islamophobia and to smear innocent Muslims have reached truly pathetic levels.
A recent “fake news” story that unfortunately went viral on conservative social media accuses Houston’s “Ramashan” Mosque of refusing to help shelter Christians from the ravages of Hurricane Harvey. The bigots would then have you believe that the hurricane victims were forced to “storm” and “occupy” the mosque in order to find shelter.
Bigots make up fake TX mosque claiming they refused to shelter non-Muslims

Some are pointing out that *one of the sites that posted the story is a "satire" site.

Of course, the whole thing is fake. The creators of this fake news story were so lazy they didn’t even bother to use real Arabic names or words (“Ramashan Mosque by Imam Aswat Turdas?”).
The man in the pictures is from Canada, has never been to Texas, and is currently in Arabia for the Hajj.
That's me in the picture. I've never even been to Texas before. https://t.co/jIPfeALckc

The truth of the matter is that Houston mosques and Muslim youth group members were toiling tirelessly to help those in need during the floods while the 16,000 seat, $50 million megachurch of Joel Osteen closed its doors to those in need.

Our Muslim communities deserve so much better than to be slandered like this by bigots on the internet.
