Chelsea Handler Just Roasted Ivanka Trump For Refusing To Stand Up To Her Father
Since well before the election, Ivanka Trump was talked of as a moderating force on her father, one who could and would mitigate his more tyrannical impulses.
Since President Trump was inaugurated however, Ivanka has never once stood up to her father as he trampled the issues she supposedly championed — from the women’s rights and LGBT freedom to the environment and now, Dreamers. At every turn, the First Daughter has been silent.
Chelsea Handler by contrast has never been one to hold her tongue. The comedian and Netflix host just fired off a pithy tweet that calls out Ivanka for the coward that she is.
Well said, Chelsea Handler. Hopefully, Ivanka will read the tweet and take a lesson on how to speak truth to power.
Dreamers held a candlelight vigil outside Ivanka’s house. But she missed it because in order to see it she’d have to stand up.
