Cristina Marcos of The Hill just tweeted out a surprising image of House Democrats lining up for a conga line to force a vote on the DREAM Act, so that young Dreamers don’t have to wait six months to find out their fates, in light of yesterday’s executive order ending DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals).
A frightened Trump got his racist Attorney General Sessions to announce the end of the popular program that protects 800,000 young immigrants who have passed background checks, pursued their education, and/or served in the U.S. military.
Nearly two-thirds of Americans support DACA, which originated under President Obama.
That popularity has only increased in recent days, as multiple DACA recipients rescued victims of Hurricane Harvey, and at least one ended up dying in the process.

Perhaps emboldened by the win they just scored against Trump on the debt ceiling, House Democrats not only broke into song and dance to force a vote, but Democratic Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer threatened today to tie every upcoming vote to the DREAM Act.
It seems that when it comes to protecting young people who contribute to the only country they know as home, Congressional Democrats mean business.
