Bannon Just Blew Up At Charlie Rose Over A Brilliant Point, ‘This Is Beneath You’
During a 60 Minutes interview on Sunday, Charlie Rose made a point that clearly got under Steve Bannon’s skin:
CHARLIE ROSE: We’re all immigrants.
STEVE BANNON: America was built on her–
CHARLIE ROSE: Except the Native Americans–
STEVE BANNON: –don’t– don’t g– don’t– don’t–
CHARLIE ROSE: –who were here.
STEVE BANNON: –don’t– don’t give me– this is the thing of the leftists. Charlie, that’s beneath you.

It was not enough for the Breitbart-Chairman-turned-White-House-Strategic-Advisor-turned-Breitbart-Chariman to accuse his own Catholic Church of filling the pews with “illegal immigrants.”
He had to take his thinly veiled racism a step further.
The exchange was preceded by Bannon saying he afforded no leeway to DACA recipients who were brought here by their parents when their were kids:
[A]s the work permits run out they self deport.
CHARLIE ROSE: They self deport?
STEVE BANNON: Yes. I am absolutely–
CHARLIE ROSE: But that– the–
STEVE BANNON: I’m–
CHARLIE ROSE: –that’s being deported.
STEVE BANNON: there’s no path to citizenship, no path to a green card and no amnesty. Amnesty is non-negotiable.
Bannon attacked as “limousine Liberals from the “Upper East Side” anyone who disagreed with his white nationalist world view, despite the fact that he once worked for Goldman Sachs and lived in a luxury Manhattan apartment with his then-wife who charged him with domestic battery and accused him of anti-Semitism.
Even in the Charlie Rose interview, he decried “identity politics,” seemingly heedless of how he and his protégés, Donald Trump and Stephen Miller, fanned the flames of white male resentment all the way to the White House.
It seems the one strong principle Bannon holds is the belief that “property owners” — aka white American-born men — are the only “real” citizens. Clearly, he is terrified of the new “real America,” in which there is a majority of minority births.
