Earlier today, London was rocked by another terror attack as a bomb was detonated on a subway car during rush hour, injuring at least 22 people. Trump, in his usual tactless manner, took to Twitter to not only rant about the attack but to impugn the work of the brave men and women working to catch the culprit.
Another attack in London by a loser terrorist. These are sick and demented people who were in the sights of Scotland Yard. Must be proactive!

Loser terrorists must be dealt with in a much tougher manner. The internet is their main recruitment tool which we must cut off & use better!

Sadiq Khan, the mayor of London, has been a recurring target for Trump’s attack, perhaps not coincidentally because Khan is the first minority to serve as London’s mayor, as well as the first Muslim to be the mayor of a major western capital. Trump has, in the past, criticized Khan’s response to other terror attacks, accomplishing nothing more than putting pressure on a politician already dealing with a tough, tragic situation.
The fact that President of the United States is picking on a mayor would be shocking under normal circumstances, but Trump has so degraded the Oval Office that it barely registers as odd anymore.

Now, Sadiq Khan has addressed Trump’s crude morning tweets. He explains in a brief interview how London is tackling this latest violent attack, and then explains he is busy focusing on the needs of his people, so he hasn’t had a chance to look at twitter.

Trump should pay attention to Khan’s example. A leader should be focused on governing, not engaging in petty back-and-forths on a social media website. Khan cares about the citizens of London, and clearly can’t be bothered with the petulant complaints of an ignorant, white supremacist, reality television star.
