This weekend, President Trump retweeted a GIF from an avowed antisemite that depicted the president hitting Hillary Clinton in the head with a golf ball.
The infantile attack drove Senate Intelligence Committee Vice Chair Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) to scold the President of the United States like a child in a tweet and press release telling the president, “Grow up and do your job.” (Full statement below.)
Feinstein, the oldest member of the Senate at 84, has gone out of her way to retain the dignity of her office when confronting a president who has none. So the fact that she finally felt compelled to drop the pretense and berate the president like a child is indicative of just how bad things have gotten with this White House.
It is a sad day when President of the United States needs to be treated like a child, but that is where has taken us. Thanks to Senator Feinstein for saying what needed to be said.
I thought the president’s Sunday morning tweet depicting an attack on Hillary Clinton was appalling and disgusting. pic.twitter.com/WVIXjJh26b
