This evening, Trump had the audacity, yet again, to tweet an outright lie, but former Obama speechwriter and host of the popular podcast “Pod Save America,” Jon Favreau, was not having it.
I would not sign Graham-Cassidy if it did not include coverage of pre-existing conditions. It does! A great Bill. Repeal & Replace.

It does not! Every study, every fact check, every reporter, every organization has recognized it does not. https://t.co/kdFEqCdovv

Favreau is correct. Literally every serious think tank and news organization has reported that the Graham Cassidy Obamacare Repeal bill does not cover pre-existing conditions.
In fact yesterday’s “Jimmy Kimmel test” brouhaha pertained entirely to the bill’s cruel lack of coverage for pre-existing conditions, like the congenital heart disease from which Kimmel’s newborn son suffered.
If Trump’s base believe his bold-faced lie and encourage their Senators to vote for the bill next week, they will undoubtedly be outraged when they discover that their pre-existing conditions will in fact result in decreased coverage and higher premiums.
Whether he knows he is lying or he is criminally uninformed about his own policies, Trump once again is putting his own supporters in harms way.
It’s just a question of how long it will take them to figure it out.
