Trump targets Democrats in Twitter outburst ahead of Hope Hicks’ Congressional testimony

Donald Trump continues to wage his frantic war against reality, so desperate is he to tell himself that his reelection is a sure thing. Rather than contend with the fact that he is deeply unpopular and devise a way to increase his approval ratings, he has taken to Twitter with a series of excuses for why most polls show him losing to a Democratic challenger in 2020.

The president whined for the umpteenth time about the “Phony Witch Hunt,” once again failing to admit that Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe, rather than being some partisan fishing expedition, yielded numerous indictments and convictions and also discovered ten different occasions on which it appears Trump himself sought to obstruct justice.

Trump blamed the negative perception of his administration on the “Fake News Media” and their “partner in Crime,” the Democratic Party. He insisted that his poll numbers would be up as much as”20 points” if it weren’t for the media coverage and then made the delusional claim that actually, in fact, he is “winning.” The pathetic contradictory tweet shows he’s unable to figure out how to actually increase his popularity.

Even earlier today, he offered another glimpse into his paranoid little mind by ranting about how the Democrats are “very unhappy” with the Mueller Report, which they most certainly are not. He decried the “Presidential Harassment” he’s suffered, a term which has quickly become one of his favorite and by far the most inane in his arsenal.

He took a shot at Secretary Hillary Clinton and then revealed the real cause for his outburst: he’s upset that his former Communications Director Hope Hicks is testifying before the House Judiciary Committee today. It’s still unclear what Hicks might know about the myriad misdeeds of this White House but clearly she knows enough for Trump to worry so much that he trotted out an entire battery of complaints, even going so far as to say the hearings are “RIGGED” which makes absolutely no sense.

Even if Hicks’s testimony yields no new information, the president’s response to it makes it clear that there are still things he’s worried about the public discovering, and it’s up to Democrats to keep digging till we find them.
