Wall Street bankers threaten to back Trump if Democrats nominate Warren for 2020 election

Long before the first candidates even declared their intentions to run, the 2020 Democratic primary has been dominated by fierce debate. At the crux of the issue is widespread alarm at the overwhelming influence that the oligarch class holds over American politics and the leadership of both political parties. In the past, the ruinous powers that be have been extremely successful at manipulating the media and party bigwigs to shut out, corrupt, or otherwise neuter any candidate who poses any kind of existential threat to the grotesque, gluttonous excesses of the wealthiest citizens and corporate America’s insatiable hunger for profit.

But it appears the skyrocketing momentum of Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MASS) is sending serious jitters through the bankers on Wall Street. A former chief of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Warren is a determined financial inquisitor who has sworn to yoke the bull and restrain the casino capitalists on Wall Street who make a killing with the public’s money and then stick us with the bill when it all comes crashing down.

That’s why several top “Democratic” billionaire donors are leaking to the media that if Warren wins the nomination, they’ll sit out the election or back Trump instead.

CNBC reports that:

Democratic donors on Wall Street and in big business are preparing to sit out the presidential campaign fundraising cycle — or even back President Donald Trump — if Sen. Elizabeth Warren wins the party’s nomination.

In recent weeks, CNBC spoke to several high-dollar Democratic donors and fundraisers in the business community and found that this opinion was becoming widely shared as Warren, an outspoken critic of big banks and corporations, gains momentum against Joe Biden in the 2020 race.

“You’re in a box because you’re a Democrat and you’re thinking, ‘I want to help the party, but she’s going to hurt me, so I’m going to help President Trump,'” whined a senior equity executive, who is clearly not actually a Democrat.

It should be an absolute dealbreaker for our party and its leadership that these sociopathic ghouls are willing to overlook Trump’s appalling disregard for the rule of law, his war on the media and on the truth as we know it, his cruelties and his racism, his incompetence, the horrifying toll of lives lost through neglect or murdered on his watch, all for a tax cut.

Nothing puts into perspective how little these bastards care about anyone besides themselves or how utterly removed they are from a reality where political consequences exist than the fact that they would rather subject the world to another four years of this hell than give up a little bit of their unreasonable wealth or pay a little more in taxes so that people don’t die of preventable medical conditions.

It also highlights how inappropriate it is for candidates like Joe Biden to be soliciting donations from Wall Street, corporate CEOs and industry lobbyists. It’s clear that if they’re reacting like this to Elizabeth Warren — who is a self-proclaimed capitalist, as opposed to democratic socialist Bernie Sanders — then the fact that they have no problem with candidates like Joe Biden or Pete Buttigieg should be an enormous red flag to Democratic voters.

Income inequality is at a five-decade high while the cost of healthcare skyrockets to over $20,000 a year for an average family. Wages have been stagnant for decades. Millions of Americans are stuck in jobs that offer no stability and no benefits as they struggle to keep a roof over their heads as the price of housing reaches crisis levels. Most of the struggles and hardships of everyday Americans can be directly traced back to the avarice of the ultra-wealthy elites, and we deserve to have a nominee who refuses to sell out to these unfeeling psychopaths and will take a stand for Main Street.

Otherwise, we’re no better than the Republicans.
