We have seen many instances where words have failed Donald Trump while he was speaking publicly, but the president never seems to be at a loss for words in his Twitter posts until he posted this enigmatic tweet this morning.
Four dots. Four periods. An ellipsis with an extra dot.
A profound comment on the current emptiness of his existence? A metaphor for the yet to be found evidence he feels is lacking in the Democrats’ impeachment case against him? A moment of serenity amidst the everyday chaos of his administration? Or a brain fart from a mentally-declining president marching inexorably into senility?
Whatever the meaning behind Trump’s perplexing social media post, Twitter wags had no lack of snarky responses to its content — or rather the lack thereof.
You can’t even fucking dot dot dot correctly, dumbfuck!

Friday night brought more bad news for Trump by way of a federal judge’s ruling that the impeachment inquiry is legal. The 75-page ruling also said lawmakers would be able to view redacted materials from former special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.

This is a PERFECT tweet!
You certainly can't be impeached for it!
Nobody has ever seen anything like it!
A lot of people say this is your best tweet ever!

Perhaps the president’s mysterious tweet was simply the equivalent of a rest symbol in musical notation, an indication of a short pause between notes.
Since Trump resumed his tweeting within the hour, perhaps that is the most logical explanation for now, but with the subsequent post being completely unrelated to those prior to it, perhaps he simply forgot what he was going to say next and merely moved on without completing the thought.
Still, if one wishes to give him the benefit of the doubt, one can at a minimum give Trump credit for the least offensive tweet he’s sent in ages.
