Sources reveal that Trump and Mark Burnett have discussed making “The Apprentice: White House”

While it long ago became a trite observation to point out that Donald Trump treats the American presidency like one of his tawdry reality television series, it might one day become a physical reality.

The Daily Beast reports that ever since inauguration day, our singularly unfit president has been telling some of his close confidants that he actually misses the simpler days when he was hosting his Apprentice shows. At least two sources told The Daily Beast that Trump has mused that he might like to go back to creating television at some point.

Three sources further stated that Mark Brunett, the producer of The Apprentice and the man many people blame for fabricating the myth of Donald Trump as a master businessman, paving his way to the White House, has spoken to Trump several times since he became president and that the two of them have floated possible future TV collaborations.

Add your name to tell Congress to investigate Pence for his role in Trump’s Ukraine corruption. The VP is complicit!

One particularly horrifying abomination the two have considered cooking up would be called The Apprentice: White House. The show would swap out the original business focus for a more political one and would trade heavily on Trump’s time in the Oval Office. Apparently, Trump hasn’t degraded the office of the president enough just yet.

Imagine it: a macabre simulacrum of the White House, the interior redesigned to suit Donald’s incredibly poor taste, all garish gold toilets and ugly wallpaper, his despicable surname emblazoned on a massive sign atop the famous building. Shudders run down the spine.

“It is something Burnett thinks could be a money-spinner and Trump is very keen on doing,” one Daily Beast source said of The Apprentice: White House. A different source claimed that the planning of the show “did not go far.” Even if the second source is correct, that’s no reason to believe it couldn’t “go far” in the future, especially if Trump loses in 2020 and needs something to keep himself busy.

When The Daily Beast reached out to Burnett about his alleged plans with the increasingly radioactive President Trump, his office unsurprisingly denied the existence of such conversations.

“The quoted statements attributed to Mr. Burnett are absolutely false. Among other things, the president and Mr. Burnett have not discussed making television shows in any shape or form,” said Burnett’s spokesperson. However, one individual who knows and worked with Burnett implied that he would be all-to-welling to work with Trump again. “Mark has one religion and that’s money,” said the individual.

If there is any justice left in this world this TV series will never see the light of day. The United States can only weather so much humiliation.
