Kellyanne completely melts down after Wolf Blitzer plays clip of her husband on MSNBC

This morning, the president’s right-hand woman Kellyanne Conway was once again given a platform on one of the nation’s largest news networks to spout outrageous lies in defense of the president — and proceeded to have a complete meltdown when her Trump-criticizing husband was brought up.

Wolf Blitzer sparked the outburst when he asked Conway to respond to a clip of her husband, Republican D.C. lawyer and improbable #resistance hero George Conway, on MSNBC analyzing that latest impeachment news.

“It’s a political question, it’s a substantive question and I don’t want to talk about your marriage because I know that there are issues there,” began Blitzer, who realized immediately that he had stepped on a landmine when she went off on him for mentioning her marriage.

Add your name to tell Congress to investigate Pence for his role in Trump’s Ukraine corruption. The VP is complicit!

“What did you just say? Did you just say there are issues there? You don’t want to talk about… why did you say that? You don’t have to play a competitor’s clip. You can just play the CNN clip. You should not have just said to your audience, ‘I don’t want to talk about your marriage, I know there are issues,'” complained a seething Conway, shooting daggers through her grim, forced and terrifying smile.

After Blitzer played her the clip of her husband on MSNBC, the eternal propagandist Conway managed to turn her self-righteous indignation into a defense of the president.

“That is his opinion. And I don’t think MSNBC was lacking for anti-Trump voices and we’ve heard things like that said on CNN for three years. And we’ve heard things like that said on [MSNBC] for three years. Honestly, where is the shame? Where is the introspection… But you wanted to put it in my husband’s voice, because you think somehow that it will help your ratings or that you’re really sticking it to Kellyanne Conway. Let me be very clear, you didn’t stick it to Kellyanne Conway. I think you embarrassed yourself.”

But she wasn’t done there. Intent on making everyone know that she was not mad, actually, but disappointed, Conway proceeded to spend several minutes disparaging the network and their credibility.

“You have people at CNN who live on Twitter,” said Conway, ignoring the fact that her boss and husband spend all day tweeting. “I choose to live offline. It’s a much better life to live offline than online. That’s their choice, but they love to do what you just did. This is CNN now? Respectfully, I think a bunch of gossip girls and opinion-making and pontificating is not the way I looked at CNN.”

And what did Wolf Blitzer say in response to this?

“You’re welcome here any time.”

We realize CNN is trying to fruitlessly change the ironclad perception among conservatives that the “C” in “CNN” stands for “Clinton,” but it’s hard to see how allowing this woman to insult you for two minutes straight and then telling her that she’s “welcome any time” is a productive use of airtime.

Kellyanne Conway has made it clear she will say or do anything in the defense of Donald Trump; she invented the term “alternative facts” and concocted the imaginary terrorist attack at Bowling Green and yet somehow is still treated as a credible contributor and spokeswoman. Continuing to book Kellyanne Conway is what Wolf Blitzer and the rest of his network should really be embarrassed about doing.
