President Trump’s complete lack of impulse control is legendary at this point, and it may end up having landed him in serious trouble this morning when he decided to fire off a string of attack tweets disparaging former ambassador to Ukraine Maria Yovanovitch while she was testifying in a House impeachment hearing.
….They call it “serving at the pleasure of the President.” The U.S. now has a very strong and powerful foreign policy, much different than proceeding administrations. It is called, quite simply, America First! With all of that, however, I have done FAR more for Ukraine than O.

The tweets were immediately held up by Democrats and Republicans alike as evidence that the president was attempting to intimidate witnesses and interfere in the impeachment proceedings, which could be the basis for even more articles of impeachment.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez truly put the full grasp of what the president had done into perspective — and threw in a snarky taunt while she was at it:
Trump himself is clearly not satisfied with only one article of impeachment.
His choice to publicly broadcast his own, personally authored witness intimidation means he’s wants to sign up for another article on obstruction of justice, too. https://t.co/wYvH92CMHb

It really is remarkable to watch the president sabotage himself like this in real time. While the Democrats slowly build an ironclad case against the President, his efforts to disrupt and obstruct the proceedings are only going to grow more flagrant and more desperate — and succeed only in digging himself deeper and deeper into the hole.
But we appreciate the president going out of his way to make sure that he actually does get impeached at the end of it.
