This morning, House Republicans tried to troll the Democrats conducting the impeachment hearings by dragging in a large sign saying “Days Since Adam Schiff Followed House Rules” during one of the breaks in testimony.
Devoid of any real defense for the evidence of a cut-and-dry quid pro quo deal between the President and the Ukrainian government being presented for the nation to see, the Republicans have been left with nothing but appealing to an imaginary referee, baselessly complaining that the Democrats aren’t “following the rules” and using meaningless gobbledygook to argue that somehow this is all illegal or improper.
Ironically, the truth is that the Democrats are following the rules that Republicans themselves laid down and voted into law in 2015, likely so they could put on their absurd Benghazi investigation show hearings — and now those same rules are being used to broadcast evidence of the president’s wrongdoing for the whole nation to see.
What’s even funnier is that the Republicans, not known for their intelligence, got their grammar so mixed up that as CNN’s Jim Acosta pointed out, the sign actually says Schiff was following the rules — which he was.
This sign means Schiff was following the rules yesterday. https://t.co/6vLX6XiJnU

When they’re sending us Republicans, they’re definitely not sending us their best.
Once they figured it out, the sign was quickly taken down.
Apparently the Intel Republicans saw your tweets, and the "0 days since Schiff broke House rules" sign is gone.

Nice going, men who somehow are in charge of writing and passing laws.
