This morning, President Trump took to Twitter and slammed MSNBC Chuck Todd, who he referred to as “Sleepy Eyes,” and retitled his show as “Meet the Depressed.”
Thank you to Great Republican @SenJohnKennedy for the job he did in representing both the Republican Party and myself against Sleepy Eyes Chuck Todd on Meet the Depressed!

Clearly pleased with the performance that his cheerleader John Kennedy put on while appearing on the vaguely left-leaning news network, Trump decided to thank him with a public Trump Statement of Approval and took some cheap jabs at his rivals.
What he didn’t expect was the outpouring of jokes and mockery from social media as Twitter users quickly seized on the admittedly amusing name “Meet the Depressed.”
Here’s a collection of the best responses.

Look Meet the Depressed is my idea for an ABC sitcom about a family of WACKY MILLENNIALS that will appeal to Boomers & older Gen-Xers so Mr. President kindly back the eff off https://t.co/K4YMDg3ul6

Meet the Depressed sounds like something said by every reporter walking into the City Hall press room in NYC

Many users were disappointed to find that “meet the depressed” did not refer to a mental health destigmatization campaign but actually was just the President being a petty little child who loves drama, again.
so 'meet the depressed' is trending because of carrot-man acting like a preschooler, but it SHOULD be trending to get rid of the stigma. You are NOT a burden and you are completely valid in your feelings. If you are struggling, dont be afraid to reach out. Much love mdudes ❤ pic.twitter.com/y50TN41JJj

Of course, Trump didn’t even come up with it himself.
Uh, guys? Rush Limbaugh has been calling it "Meet the Depressed" for years. That's almost certainly where President Best Words got it. https://t.co/z7i8jDjyxp
