Trump will resign if aides are forced to testify in impeachment trial says Scaramucci

From his mouth to God’s ears, as the saying goes.

Former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci made a confident prediction this morning during an appearance on MSNBC‘s AM Joy — that Donald Trump would resign the presidency if the senior White House aides involved in the Ukraine scandal are forced to testify under oath during the inevitable Senate impeachment trial.

Add your name to demand Republicans stop repeating Putin’s dangerous propaganda to defend Trump’s crimes!

Saying that it would be impossible for the president to survive if his personal attorney Rudy Giuliani and his former National Security Advisor John Bolton were obliged to testify before the Senate in a nationally televised broadcast, the Trump administration defector cited Trump’s inability to handle the pressure of a contentious trial where the actual witnesses to his alleged criminal behavior would be forced to truthfully recount the details of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress that the articles of impeachment charge him with.

‘Let’s talk about Republican Senate for a second,” Scaramucci declared. “They are allowing this. End of the day, he completely broke the law. You go through the different categories, you look at the facts.”

“We haven’t seen the primary witness testimony. Those four people whether it’s Mulvaney, Bolton, Giuliani, Pompeo — if they have to testify under oath, he has to leave. So there’s four senators that need to be moved to allow for a full and fair trial. If that happens, scoundrel number one, he’ll leave before that testimony,” the former communications director said.

Host Joy Reid reacted to Scaramucci’s prediction with disbelief.

“You think he’ll resign?” the she asked.

Without hesitation Scarmucci replied:

“There is no way he can handle the heat of that testimony.”
