George Conway hits Trump over his “unfair” Pelosi tweet: “We have the whiniest president in the history of the country”

George Conway, the husband of Trump’s right-hand woman Kellyanne Conway and a consistently outspoken critic of her boss, has once again taken to Twitter to slam the president.

Earlier today, Trump tweeted out an attack on Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), a continuation of the digital campaign he’s been waging against her for days. The president is obsessed with her now that she has successfully passed articles of impeachment in the House. His inability to resist the urge to talk about her all day shows how deeply irritated he is by the fact that he’s powerless to take any kind of meaningful action against her. Instead, he’s reduced to constantly complaining about how she’s treating him, a tactic that allows him to wallow like a spray-tanned pig in his pathetic victimhood complex.

In the tweet in question, Trump said he finds it “interesting” that Pelosi is demanding a fair trial in the Senate under Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) when she “presided over the most unfair hearing in the history of the United States Congress.”

McConnell admitted coordinating impeachment with Trump. Add your name to demand he recuse himself from the trial!

Of course, there was nothing actually unfair about the impeachment hearings. More than enough evidence was presented to show that Trump tried to exploit his presidential powers to strongarm Ukraine into hurting Joe Biden’s 2020 prospects by opening a sham investigation into him and his son.

On top of that, Trump blocked some witnesses from testifying, defying subpoenas in the process. By any reasonable metric, the Democrats handled the process professionally and legitimately. Trump just doesn’t like the results.

Conway quote tweeted Trump and said that there was nothing “unfair” about the hearings. He went on to identify Trump as the “whiniest president in the history of the country,” which frankly feels like an understatement.

One of the central ironies of Donald Trump is that his supporters view him as some hyper-masculine tough guy when the reality is that he’s a thin-skinned bully who sits on Twitter all day complaining about how the media and his political opponents treat him. He’s nothing more than an overgrown, petulant child and will be remembered as such.
