Pelosi’s daughter trolls Trump for obsessing over impeachment on Christmas: We didn’t talk about it

One need take only a cursory glance at President Trump’s Twitter to see that he is absolutely consumed with anxiety over his impeachment. He knows there is nothing he can do now that the House has passed articles of impeachment and that even if the Republican-controlled Senate acquits him during his trial he will still be stained forever as one of only three presidents to be impeached. It will define what was already destined to be a cruel and incompetent legacy.
Much of Trump’s ire has been directed at Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), a woman he clearly fears and blames for his historic political humiliation. While many Americans were spending this Christmas week bonding with their loved ones, Trump spent much of the past few days angrily tweeting about Speaker Pelosi. His Twitter page is littered with pathetic attacks on her and unconvincing insistences that he is being unfairly targeted.
Speaker Pelosi and Chuck Schumer’s drive to try and rig the trial against the President is misplaced. There is no factual basis for the Articles of Impeachment that passed the House. This President will be exonerated.” William McGinley @foxandfriends

“Democrats repeatedly claimed impeachment was an urgent matter, but now Nancy Pelosi uses stall tactics to obstruct the Senate.” @replouiegohmert @HeyTammyBruce @FoxNews It’s all part of the Impeachment Hoax!

California leads the nation, by far, in both the number of homeless people, and the percentage increase in the homeless population – two terrible stats. Crazy Nancy should focus on that in her very down district, and helping her incompetent governor with the big homeless problem!

“Nancy Pelosi is trying to usurp the Constitutional role of the Senate. The longer this goes on, the more petty, partisan & political it all looks.” @KarlRove @FoxNews Just more of the same from the Do Nothing Dems. Nancy should be helping the record number of homeless in her D!

“Nancy Pelosi has no leverage over the Senate. Mitch McConnell did not nose his way into the impeachment process in the House, and she has no standing in the Senate.” Brad Blakeman. Crazy Nancy should clean up her filthy dirty District & help the homeless there. A primary for N?

Nancy Pelosi’s District in California has rapidly become one of the worst anywhere in the U.S. when it come to the homeless & crime. It has gotten so bad, so fast – she has lost total control and, along with her equally incompetent governor, Gavin Newsom, it is a very sad sight!

…& overwhelming,” but this Scam Impeachment was neither. Also, very unfair with no Due Process, proper representation, or witnesses. Now Pelosi is demanding everything the Republicans weren’t allowed to have in the House. Dems want to run majority Republican Senate. Hypocrites!

Everything we’re seeing from Speaker Pelosi and Senator Schumer suggests that they’re in real doubt about the evidence they’ve brought forth so far not being good enough, and are very, very urgently seeking a way to find some more evidence. The only way to make this work is to..

….mount some kind of public pressure to demand witnesses, but McConnell has the votes and he can run this trial anyway he wants to. @brithume @foxandfriends

While the president is clearly obsessed with Speaker Pelosi, the unhealthy fixation isn’t mutual. Christine Pelosi, the Speaker’s daughter, appeared on CNN and revealed that she spent the holiday with her mother but their family didn’t talk about impeachment at the Christmas dinner table even as Trump blasted out holiday tweets.
“And you know the funny thing is that we are probably one of the few families in America who did not talk about impeachment at the Christmas dinner table. We rarely talk politics,” said Christine Pelosi. New Day host Alisyn Camerota was surprised to hear the revelation and pushed her on it a bit.
“No! We don’t talk politics at our dinner table. We talk sports and movies and mostly she wants to know how the grandchildren are doing so we had a wonderful time with our parents,” Pelosi explained. “And I kind of offhandedly mentioned that things might have been happening on social media yesterday,” Pelosi added, presumably referring to Trump’s Twitter attacks on her mother.
“But basically we’ve just been having some family time, went out to the movies last night and so I think it’s really important and one of the things I talk about in my book about my mom The Nancy Pelosi Way is how she says you have to put politics on the shelf. You can’t obsess about things 24/7,” Pelosi went on. “You need to recharge and rejuvenate and most importantly be with your family. If you don’t build a life with your family then you don’t have a quality of life that you can be out there defending when it’s time to get back to work,” Pelosi said, offering a stark contrast to Trump’s behavior.
Camerota and Pelosi then went on to discuss the Speaker’s handling of impeachment, specifically her brilliant decision to hold off on sending impeachment to the Senate until Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) agrees to hold more than a sham trial.
