Trump ends the year with vicious personal attack on “overrated” Nancy Pelosi
For all of his innumerable faults, Donald Trump at least eschews sexism in his political attacks in a certain way.
As an equal opportunity offender, the president has no compunction in maliciously insulting House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) as viciously as he does male politicians who raise his ire.
Trump sounded practically nostalgiac in the first line of his nearly obligatory morning tweet libeling his chief Democratic antagonist.
Remember when Pelosi was screaming that President Trump is a danger to our nation and we must move quickly. They didn’t get one Republican House vote, and lost 3 Dems. They produced no case so now she doesn’t want to go to the Senate. She’s all lies. Most overrated person I know!

Ah, remember when!
Unfortunately for the president, what he heard as shrill screaming from Speaker Pelosi the majority of the country saw as the urgent warning that it was meant as, judging from the recent polls showing a majority of Americans now support his impeachment and removal from office.
Trump somehow conflates the extreme partisanship exhibited in the impeachment vote with proof of his innocence of the charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress for which the articles of impeachment indict him, before pivoting to the big lie — that the copious evidence of his guilt that was presented in the House investigation hearings don’t amount to a compelling case of the high crimes and misdemeanors required for his removal.
Trump also falsely attributes the House Speaker’s motives for delaying the transmission of the articles of impeachment to the Senate to a lack of faith in the solidity of the case against the president rather than being due to the acknowledged intent of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to rig the impeachment trial to deliver a guaranteed acquittal of Trump by refusing to allow the calling of witnesses and presentation of the devastating evidence of his misdeeds.
To round out this latest anti-Pelosi tweet, the president falls back on his signature tactic of projection, accusing his enemies of that which he himself is most guilty.
To have a diagnosed narcissist with over 15 thousand documented lies to his name call Nancy Pelosi “all lies” and “overrated” would be laughable in any other context. Coming from the President of The United States, however, it only bolsters the case for his removal from office.
In truth the most overrated person in Trump’s mind is himself. It’s too bad that he hasn’t yet realized it.
