President Trump’s antipathy towards the media took a very literal turn on Thursday afternoon when he told the media that he would like to put them in a rocket and fire them into space.
Trump to reporters a bit ago, via pool report:
"I'm thinking about going, and that'll be next week, to the rocket launch. I hope you're all going to join me. I'd like to put you on the rocket, get rid of you for a while."

The rocket he is referring to is the Space X Crew Dragon launch from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida scheduled for next week.
Trump has always viewed the mainstream media as his opposition, a constant thorn in his side with their nagging questions and pesky facts. Whenever he hangs out with the world’s more authoritarian leaders, he constantly references how jealous he is that they get away with repressing the media and “get rid of them.”
But unfortunately for him, we live in a country that fiercely cherishes its long and proud tradition of free speech and an independent media — and our journalists won’t stop digging to bring the truth to light and hold him accountable for his crimes until long after he is dead.
