The husband of woman Trump accused Morning Joe of murdering begs him to stop tweeting about it

Imagine being tormented by a sadistic internet troll and stalker who refuses to stop sending tweets claiming that your dead wife’s death wasn’t accidental as investigators found but was a murder committed and covered up by her boss at the time.

Normally, you’d report the incident to the social media platform involved and if the harassment claim proves true, the troll’s account would be suspended. Perhaps, if the psychological intimidation doesn’t cease, you might even call the police.

But what could you do if the sadistic tormentor also happened to currently be holding the office of the President of the United States?

That’s the untenable situation that Timothy Klausutis now finds himself in.

Klausutis is the widower of Lori Klausutis, a former staffer of then-Congressman Joe Scarborough who is now the host of MSNBC‘s AM news program Morning Joe.

Investigators have determined that Lori Klausutis’ death in 2001 was caused by an undiagnosed heart condition that led her to faint and fatally hit her head on the edge of a desk while she was at work in Scarborough’s Florida office.

Despite the fact that Joe Scarborough was in Washington DC at the time of the accident, Donald Trump has been inexplicably tweeting out insinuations and accusations to stoke a conspiracy theory that his on-air adversary at MSNBC was responsible for his staffer’s death and urging a reopening of the case by the police, as his latest tweet on the subject demonstrates.

The tweet is part of Trump’s latest campaign of distraction — the newest circus in his strategy of using panem et circenses to take the attention of the American public away from his massive failings in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic and keep his media foes off balance.

Trump’s contempt for anyone but himself is on sordid display as his continued tweeting about the unfounded accusations defies the stated wishes of Timothy Klausutis, the surviving spouse of the late congressional aide, to have the painful reminders of his personal tragedy stop being spread across the internet each day.

Trump’s continued harassment of Scarborough — with Klausutis as collateral damage — even led the still-grieving widower to write to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey to beg him to delete Trump’s tweets mentioning his late wife.

“I’m asking you to intervene in this instance because the President of the United States has taken something that does not belong him — the memory of my dead wife — and perverted it for perceived political gain,” Klausutis said in his letter. “I would also ask that you consider Lori’s niece and two nephews who will eventually come across this filth in the future.”

That Trump continues to post and repost his scurrilous accusations about the death of Lori Klausutis and the phony allegations of Joe Scarborough’s involvement in her demise is just another example of how base and corrupt the content of his character — his very soul if he can be presumed to have one — has devolved.

It is one more example — as if we needed any additional reminders — of why Trump is unfit to be president.
