Trump slurs his way into misogynistic attacks on “extraordinarily nasty” Kamala Harris at White House presser

On Tuesday evening, President Donald Trump held a press conference at the White House on the heels of the announcement that California Senator Kamala Harris will be joining Joe Biden on the Democratic ticket as they seek to wrest the presidency away from Trump in the 2020 election. He didn’t stray far from his usual routine for his new opponent.

“Nasty.” It’s a word he used relentlessly to describe Hillary Clinton in 2016 and has often rehashed in smears of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and numerous journalists — all women. So it’s no surprise that the openly sexist president, who earlier in the day said “men are insulted” by Biden selecting a female running mate, fell on the same misogynistic attack of his newest — and arguably strongest — female challenger.

But the defaming of Senator Harris didn’t stop there.

After a rather sickening opening statement in which he recited coronavirus numbers from European nations in an effort to equate their minor spikes with the full-blown pandemic currently unfolding across the United States, President Trump was lobbed a softball from a right-wing reporter, possibly from the Washington Times, that bizarrely attempted to pin Harris as a hypocrite on marijuana for having smoked it in the past and then having prosecuted drug cases as California’s Attorney General.

In response, Trump embarked on a slurred and meandering series of attacks on Harris, even having the nerve to call her a “liar” when no president in American history has ever lied as relentlessly as he has.

After reciting a series of predictable and trite complaints about her — she wants to raise taxes and cut the military! — he couldn’t resist a delve into the kind of shameful misogyny that we’ve come to expect from this vile man.

Trashing her as “extraordinarily nasty,” the president moaned about her sharp questioning of credibly accused sexual assailant Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearing for the Supreme Court. “She was “nasty to a level that was just a horrible thing!” said Trump, immediately invoking the way he tried to smear Hillary Clinton for being a “nasty woman” during the 2016 election — and giving us a grim hint at the vitriol that Harris can expect to face from his base of rabid woman-haters and racists.

Not content with that, Trump would later complain about how “disrespectful” she was to Joe Biden during the debates — and by “disrespectful,” he means being willing to challenge Biden on the stage and not content to simply sit there quietly while all the men did the talking.

However, his low energy and obvious lack of enthusiasm shows that he’s very disappointed by the selection of Harris. Instead of getting to pull out Benghazi and “Obamagate” on someone like Susan Rice, he’s now faced with a tough-talking, ambitious, and driven prosecutor who will bring the energy to this ticket that he did not want to see!

Add your name to demand Congress reject Trump’s dictatorial call to delay the election!
