Fox’s Chris Wallace gleefully celebrates how Michelle Obama wrecked Trump in DNC speech

The 2020 Democratic National Convention began in earnest last night and while there was a slew of impressive speakers by far the most talked-about was former First Lady Michelle Obama. The most memorable part of her remarks was when she took specific aim at President Trump, thrashing him as ill-equipped to be president at this crucial time in American history.

“Let me be as honest and clear as I possibly can. Donald Trump is the wrong president for our country. He has had more than enough time to prove that he can do the job, but he is clearly in over his head. He cannot meet this moment. He simply cannot be who we need him to be for us. It is what it is…” said Obama.

Trump, who is usually reluctant to attack Mrs. Obama, unleashed a furious tirade at her this morning on Twitter and bragged about his imagined accomplishments. He also attacked her while speaking on the White House lawn, hypocritically criticizing her for being “divisive” and supposedly “over her head.” Clearly, her words have burrowed deep beneath his infamously thin-skin.

Judging by the online reactions, just about every reasonable person disagrees with the president’s assessment of Michelle Obama’s performance. Her admirers are manifold and amongst their number, we can count Fox News’s Chris Wallace.

Wallace, who has not been shy to criticize President Trump or hold his feet to the fire during interviews, praised Michelle Obama’s remarks last night.

“You know it’s interesting, Michelle Obama, as she said doesn’t like politics, and she said that this speech was her main contribution to the Biden campaign. It was a heck of a contribution,” said Wallace.

“She really flayed, sliced and diced Donald Trump, talking about the chaos and confusion and lack of empathy, especially coming from this president and from this White House, spoke more about the deficits of Donald Trump than the pluses of Joe Biden, but did talk about especially, not so much policies, but especially his empathy, what he has been through and his care for average Americans,” Wallace went on.

One can only imagine how irate the already angry Trump will grow if he sees such comments being made on Fox, a network he usually relies on as his own personal propaganda outfit. Check out Wallace’s segment below.
