Trump Sunday morning health update reveals new details of his condition and treatment

With all trust in information regarding Donald Trump’s medical condition having been undermined yesterday by the conflicting information relayed by Trump’s White House physician, Dr. Sean Conley, and by his Chief of Staff Mark Meadows who told reporters off the record that the president’s condition had been worse than what the doctor revealed, Dr. Conley gave the media another update on Trump’s health this morning.

Conely told the assembled journalists that the president’s condition has “improved” and that he had experienced significant drops in his oxygen saturation levels on both Friday and Saturday.

The White House physician also said that Trump has not run a high temperature since Friday morning and that he could be discharged from Walter Reed Medical Center as soon as tomorrow.

Today’s briefing from Dr. Conley filled in a few of the open questions about the progress of the COVID-19 infection that has invaded Trump’s body like the Nazi Panzer divisions that he likely admires and about the treatment he has received so far, details sorely lacking in yesterday’s press conference health update.

For the first time, Dr. Conley revealed that Trump had been running a high fever when he was still at the White House on Friday and that he had been given supplemental oxygen at that time.

Dr. Conley hurt his credibility yet again, however, when he said that he didn’t know whether any additional oxygen had been administered when the president’s oxygen levels dipped a second time on Saturday.

“I’d have to check with the nursing staff,” Conley told the reporters outside Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. “I don’t think that — if he did, it was very, very limited. … And the only oxygen that I ordered, or that we provided, was that Friday morning, initially.”

One would think that Trump’s attending physician would know all of the details of the president’s treatment, particularly before going in front of the press to brief them on his condition, but Conley’s uncertainty led some to continue to believe that the full story of Donald Trump’s condition and how his disease has progressed is still being carefully managed to prevent the entire truth from reaching the public consciousness.

The president’s doctor also revealed this morning that Trump is being given dexamethasone, a steroid that is now considered the standard of care for someone who requires oxygen.

Journalists called out Dr. Conley for his neglecting to offer the details of Trump’s oxygen treatment when he spoke in front of them just yesterday. Conely offered an excuse that indicated that journalists should never trust him for an honest account of the president’s true condition.

“I was trying to reflect the upbeat attitude that the team, the president, over his course of illness, has had,” the physician said. “I didn’t want to give any information that might steer the course of illness in another direction. And in doing so, you know, it came off that we were trying to hide something, which wasn’t necessarily true. … The fact of the matter is that he’s doing really well.”

Conley also addressed the discrepancy in the difference in the accounts of the president’s condition yesterday between what he had said and what White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows told reporters off the record.

“The chief and I work side by side,” Conley stated. “And I think his statement was misconstrued. What he meant was that 24 hours ago, when he and I were checking on the President, that there was that momentary episode of the high fever and that temporary drop in the saturation, which prompted us to act expediently to move him up here.”

“Fortunately, that was really a very transient limited episode, a couple hours later he was back up. Mild again. You know, we, I’m not going to speculate what that limited episode was about so early in the course but he’s doing well,” The White House physician added.

We’ll soon see if Trump recovers quickly enough from the free government-provided medical care that he refuses to allow every American citizen to access for their own health needs.

If indeed, he is released from Walter Reed tomorrow, you can be assured that we’ll never hear the end of how his superior genes defeated the virus and how its deadly nature is just an overblown, Democratic hoax. Either way, Trump has lost a significant chunk of valuable campaign time close to the election and the time for him to turn his failing bid for re-election is quickly running out.

You know who to vote for to keep him out of the White House for four more years.
