Stephen Miller grilled by Fox News over whether Trump has the “worst legal team” arguing his election cases
President Trump has run out of options. His pathetic, anti-democratic efforts to overturn the election in his favor have been dismissed by court after court, with the Supreme Court itself ruling last week that a case filed by Texas which sought to discard millions of ballots in swing states that went for President-elect Joe Biden lacked standing. The president’s attorneys have proven to be laughably inept, seemingly far more interested in peddling conspiracy theories to right-wing outlets than in doing any actual lawyering.
Today, Trump’s Senior Advisor Stephen Miller, a man infamous for his Goebbels-like devotion to his boss as well as his documented white nationalist sympathies, appeared on Fox News to complain about the election on behalf of Trump. In what was perhaps an indication that even Fox is growing tired of the Trump team’s lies, Brian Kilmeade pointed out that the president’s legal team has lost again and again, sometimes even when arguing in front of Trump-appointed judges.
“So do you have the worst legal team who just don’t seem to be presenting a good case or are you just too late and this case should have been brought before the election?” asked Kilmeade, simultaneously challenging Miller while also giving him and his boss far too much credit. The answer here is that the Rudy Giuliani-led team is terrible but the real problem is that they have no absolutely no case. There is simply no convincing evidence to back up their wild accusations of widespread voter fraud and so the courts have had no choice but to repeatedly dismiss their paranoid fantasies.

“We did bring these cases before the election,” responded Miller, gearing up in his trademark slimy manner. “But what you have to appreciate and realize is that the pressure from the corrupt corporate media to make everybody cave and bend is overwhelming! It is overwhelming. And so yes judges are caving. Yes, politicians are caving. We need heroes to step up and do the right thing,” he added before going on to sling some of his usual mud at the Democratic Party.
The idea that judges are deciding to dismiss valid cases brought by the President of the United States because of something they heard Rachel Maddow say on MSNBC or Anderson Cooper on CNN is patently ludicrous. The only “pressure” being exerted is by Trump, who we know has directly contacted officials and attacked Republican politicians on Twitter in an effort to coerce them into breaking the law and delivering him a second term. Thankfully, his efforts have all been in vain and soon enough he will be booted to the street where he belongs.
As for Stephen Miller, he’d be wise to start shopping around for a new job. Perhaps he can find something that better suits his specific sensibilities. Might we suggest devouring live rats in a traveling freakshow?
