A news report in Scotland is touching off rampant speculation on Twitter that Donald Trump may flee the country before President-elect Joe Biden is inaugurated and he becomes subject to arrest for the many crimes he’s been accused of committing.
President Trump’s conduct has been under criminal scrutiny for at least the last few years, starting when his personal lawyer was caught funneling hush-money payments to a porn star during the 2016 election through the Manhattan DA’s high-profile investigation which remains ongoing. As recently as this past October, he began telling MAGA followers at campaign rallies he “might have to leave the country if he loses.”
Earlier today, both House Democrats and a Georgia election board member referred Trump for criminal prosecution based upon a recorded phone call where Trump pressured Georgia’s Secretary of State to corrupt election results on his behalf.
Now, the top Scottish national newspaper is reporting that a plane often used by Donald Trump has booked a landing for the day before Vice President Joe Biden’s inauguration at the airport near one of his money-losing golf resorts. The Herald reports:
Prestwick Airport has been told to expect the arrival of a US military Boeing 757 aircraft which has been occasionally used by Trump, on January 19 – the day before Mr Biden takes over.
A source at Prestwick airport, who asked to remain anonymous, told the Sunday Post: “There is a booking for an American military version of the Boeing 757 on January 19, the day before the inauguration.
“That’s one that’s normally used by the Vice-President but often used by the First Lady. Presidential flights tend to get booked far in advance, because of the work that has to be done around it.”
It’s unknown if Donald Trump would even be permitted to fly to Scottland after the state announced a total coronavirus lockdown earlier today, seeking to tame a brutal outbreak of a viral mutation that is more transmissible in the UK. His resort is closed through early February.
Rumors that Trump has been planning to skip President-elect Biden’s inauguration and launch his 2024 campaign have been swirling for the last month, but Twitter lit up with today’s news of his potential plans to be on foreign soil when his presidency ends.

(PS) With Scotland going into lockdown, I don't know if this is a realistic option for Trump. But every major media report we've gotten for the last 2 months has said that Trump is almost *preternaturally* obsessed with losing his immunity from criminal prosecution on January 20.

It’s no secret that Donald Trump fears being criminally prosecuted for his many alleged criminal acts, including tax fraud, insurance fraud, bank fraud, and federal campaign finance crimes.
He certainly sees how high-profile defendants, like his personal friends the pedophile Jeffrey Epstein and co-conspirator Gislaine Maxwell, are denied bail before trial because their great wealth and ownership of private aircraft make them a flight risk.
After yesterday’s bombshell revelation of his utterly desperate plea to Georgia’s Secretary of State to “find 11,780 votes,” Trump’s chances of being prosecuted for state crimes beyond the reach of his pardon powers have increased exponentially.
So, it’s not far-fetched to believe that President Donald J. Trump could end his term on foreign soil looking for a way to flee the United States to escape prosecution.
After all, he announced his intent to be a fugitive from justice before his landslide loss to Joe Biden on November 3rd.
