Sarah Huckabee Sanders savagely skewered by Twitter after announcing a bid for Arkansas governor
Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the serial liar who served as Donald Trump’s White House Press Secretary from 2017 to 2019, should be ashamed to show her face in public for the rest of her life. She spent years shamelessly peddling the president’s misinformation to the American public as she waged a war against the free press and truth itself. Every day she decided to step up to that podium and lie was a day when she chose to serve her own cynical career interests over the needs of this country. She should be a social and political pariah. Instead, she announced today that she is running for Governor of Arkansas.
In a video released through her Twitter account, Huckabee Sanders revealed that she will be running for her father Mike’s former job. The video leads with her recounting a trip with President Trump to visit with military personnel in Iraq, making it clear that she intends to use her MAGA credentials as one of her main gubernatorial selling points and that she has no regrets about her time working for and enabling the worst president in American history.
After giving some boilerplate Republican lip service to the troops, she claims to be a “law & order” candidate, a laughable claim given the fact that she defended Donald Trump as he undermined the law at every turn, ultimately culminating in a political landscape so toxic that supporters of the president rose up in insurrection against the government. Nobody who helped lay the groundwork for such a profound betrayal of our Republic gets to claim to care about law or order.
Huckabee Sanders proceeds to whine about “the radical left” and “socialism and cancel culture,” demonstrating that her platform is just as vacuous and built around inane culture wedge issues as her former boss’s. The video then pivots to her talking about everything that makes Arkansas great but her decision to lead with the Trump apologia and ranting about leftists shows that her campaign will one far more focused on inflaming divisions than healing them.
It’s apparent this woman has not changed and will not change. She is exactly what she appeared to be while working in the Trump administration: a ruthless opportunist who cares solely about accumulating power for herself. The American people had to suffer through Huckabee Sanders’s disdain for them for long enough, the good people of Arkansas shouldn’t subject themselves to a repeat performance.

The announcement video quickly spread across Twitter and users didn’t hold back from letting Huckabee Sanders who little they think of her.
