AOC scorches Ted Cruz and demands he resign after he tries to jump on her bandwagon

If one needed any more proof of the insane mindset — the defective brains, one might uncharitably say — of the members of the current Republican Party, their extremely short memory regarding the insurrection that was led by rabid Trump supporters, foaming at the mouth and ready to execute members of Congress just a few short weeks ago, should provide all the evidence that one may need.
Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) reminded one Republican senator — a lawmaker with both an apparent case of amnesia regarding the events of January 6th and a seemingly direct role in helping instigate that violent invasion of the Capitol Building — of the consequences of his behavior in an exchange on Twitter today.
The congresswoman representing parts of The Bronx and Queens in New York City made her remarks after Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) miraculously posted a tweet actually agreeing with Ocasio-Cortez when she posted a tweet criticizing the online stock brokerage app Robinhood for its decision to restrict the trading of stocks that have been shorted by Wall Street hedge funds now in a position to lose massive amounts of money on their options bets after grass-roots investors have driven the price of the underlying stocks through the roof in a form of coordinated effort to exact revenge on the financial manipulators.
With Robinhood and other brokerages dependent on many of these large hedge funds for a steady stream of trading income, the move to restrict the average investor from any further trading of the targeted stocks reeks of stacking of the deck in favor of the existing financial fat cats, a move that the progressive congresswoman declared should be investigated.
This is unacceptable.
We now need to know more about @RobinhoodApp’s decision to block retail investors from purchasing stock while hedge funds are freely able to trade the stock as they see fit.

Ocasio-Cortez was surprised and also combative when her post was responded to approvingly by Senator Cruz.

The NY legislator felt compelled to respond to Cruz with a reply that demonstrated that her anger over the insurrection in which she was specifically targeted by part of the mob for physical harm had not subsided.
While you conveniently talk about “moving on,” a second Capitol police officer lost their life yesterday in the still-raging aftermath of the attacks you had a role in.
This isn’t a joke. We need accountability, and that includes a new Senator from Texas.https://t.co/IQ69aZIt3v

While Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez isn’t the only member of Congress to call for the expulsion of Senator Cruz and the other GOP lawmakers who helped incite the violent invasion of the Capitol with their lies about a stolen election, the vehemence of her reaction to Ted Cruz, even in a rare matter in which they are in agreement, shows exactly why Cruz and his fellow seditionists need to be removed from their seats in Congress.
There can be no negotiation with terrorists and no compromise with those with whom no trust exists.
The business of passing legislation and negotiating compromise requires the kind of trust that Senator Cruz and his ilk cannot inspire after their attempts to destroy our democratic institutions.
Since we can be sure that Ted Cruz is too self-interested to resign, the Senate should heed Rep. Ocasio-Cortez’s call and expel Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley, and the rest of the members of the GOP who tried to prevent the inauguration of Joe Biden as our 46th president, as per Section 3 of the 14th Amendment which prohibits anyone who “shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof” from serving in Congress.
