Matt Gaetz ruthlessly mocked for attacking Biden, claiming Trump is the “gold standard” of presidents
Donald Trump has been stripped of his governmental power but his MAGA movement remains by far the most dominant force within the Republican Party. The conservative voting base in this country has radicalized beyond any hope of returning to sanity in the near future, which means an entire crop of right-wing politicians has sprung up to cater to their deranged, formerly fringe views. One of the worst members of this class of lunatics is Rep. Matt Gaetz, a slimy Florida Congressman who spent most of Donald Trump’s term pouring praise on his disastrous administration.
Gaetz clearly has ambitions of higher office and believes that becoming a standard-bearer for Trumpism is the way to achieve it. He’s become a fixture in the Fox News rotating talking heads circuit and regularly uses his Twitter account to blast out asinine, trolling tweets. Today, he made the absurd proclamation that Donald Trump—inarguably the worst president in American history by any metric—is actually the “gold standard of presidents.”

Comparatively, Gaetz said Joe Biden—a man who just signed a $1.9 trillion relief bill that will drastically reduce poverty in this country—is the “Silver Alert of presidents,” a reference to the Silver Alert notification system used to locate missing elderly individuals with cognitive problems.
Somehow, even after Biden demolished Trump in the debates and then trounced him in the election, Gaetz still thinks people are likely to believe the debunked conspiracy theory that Biden suffers from some kind of mental degeneration. It’s pathetic and just goes to demonstrate how little he thinks of his supporters’ intelligence.
