AOC owns Ted Cruz over his sneaky Mexico trip after he comes for her neck
President Biden has already succeeded in passing a $1.9 trillion relief bill that will drastically reduce poverty and materially improve the lives of countless Americans. Now, his administration has unveiled their next order of business: a $2 trillion infrastructure package that will revitalize the country from coast to coast, repairing crumbling roads, bridges, and buildings while preparing America for the coming century by updating transportation networks and investing in clean energy.
The breadth of Biden’s ambition so far has been matched only by his ability to execute that ambition and at this rate, he could prove to be a truly transformational president. After four years of Trump accomplishing nothing beyond division and tax cuts for the super-rich, the Republican Party finds itself in the unenviable position of having to attack a competent president who is actually doing the work of the American people. They have nothing substantive to criticize him on, so they’re trying desperately to drum up the perception that there is a historic crisis along the Mexican border caused solely by Biden’s assumption of the Oval Office.
Earlier today, the execrable, spineless creature that slithers across the face of the Earth under the moniker of “Ted Cruz” tagged Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Twitter and said she was exposing the real Democratic belief that ICE should be abolished. He also erroneously claimed that Democrats are advocating for an open borders policy, a popular lie amongst bad faith Republican politicians.

The cryptofascist, xenophobic organization known as ICE is responsible for the mass sexual abuse of migrants and should be abolished, and the fact that Cruz thinks his tweet is some kind of intelligent attack speaks volumes. More to the point though, AOC’s tweet wasn’t calling for the abolition of the agency, she was pointing out that endlessly dumping money into funding ICE isn’t the way to achieve humane results.

By now, men like Cruz who have at best a rudimentary grasp of Twitter should know better than to tussle with AOC on the site, and yet they keep making the same mistake. The Congresswoman quickly replied to Cruz’s asinine tweet and ripped him apart, bringing up the recent scandal in which he was caught sneaking off to Mexico for vacation while his home state of Texas suffered from deadly winter storms and power outages.
“Ted, this is pretty rich coming from someone who fled their own home (and responsibilities) during an environmental crisis to cross the border and seek refuge in Mexico,” wrote AOC. She then took him to task for funding and expanding cage use and then pretending to care about the issue.
“You have no policy, just puff,” she concluded, offering one of the most succinct descriptions of Cruz as a political figure to date.
