Trump issues enraged statement in response to the upholding of his Facebook ban

The independent oversight board comprised of journalists, activists, and lawyers that Facebook has entrusted to review its content moderation decisions upheld the social media network’s ban on posts from Donald Trump this morning, and now the target of their decision is publicly bemoaning what he considers the unfairness of the ruling.

Perhaps the most remarkable aspect of Trump’s press release is its confirmation of the fact that the disgraced resident 0f Mar-a-Lago still considers himself the legitimate POTUS.

However, equally disturbing is Trump’s call for vengeance to be wreaked upon those social media companies that he now likely considers his mortal enemies despite their instrumentality in his election to the presidency to begin with.

Trump’s legendary penchant for psychological projection — the attribution of one’s own faults and thought process onto others — remains obviously intact as he accuses social media platforms like Facebook of responsibility for the destruction of the “Electoral Process” that his own machinations, likely in coordination with Russia, actually were designed to undermine.

The response on Twitter to Trump’s whining was predictably outraged.

The very fact that the former guy’s statement still managed to penetrate social media without his personal accounts being available to him demonstrates that Trump’s indignation is anything but righteous.

He still has access to all the other media access points as his frequent calls to Fox News and his recently announced web-based blog amply proves.

Trump has no problem finding other places to spread his lies. He should keep his mouth shut when private companies express their First Amendment rights to determine the acceptability of content that appears on their platforms.
