High road: Ocasio-Cortez urges “deeply unwell” Taylor-Greene to get help
It’s been fairly clear for a long time that Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Greene’s (R-GA) mental state is not exactly in the best of places. During the election cycle, she made headlines for her support of the bizarre and schizophrenic “QAnon” pro-Trump conspiracy theory; after she won her election, a little digging by journalists easily uncovered just how deep down the rabbit hole of psychotic right-wing conspiracy theories she was.
Videos and old Facebook posts have shown Taylor-Greene calling for the execution of Nancy Pelosi, wondering if a giant space laser was responsible for the California wildfires, and harassing school shooting survivors. But the most recently discovered video, which shows her berating Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) through the mailbox of her office in 2019, coming on the heels of an incident in which she accosted the Queens Democrat in the halls of Congress to yell at her for “supporting terrorism” has really compounded just how unhinged this woman is.
While AOC responded with snark on Thursday evening — quipping that MTG was the kind of person who she would throw out of bars during her time in the hospitality industry — she only had concern after seeing the latest video of Taylor-Greene’s obsessive hatred of her.

It’s hard to tell whether or not Taylor-Greene’s antics are deliberately designed to be as inflammatory as possible in order to raise her personal profile and earn brownie points with the right-wing, which as a whole is dangerously obsessed with Ocasio-Cortez for her progressive politics — among other things — or whether or not we are seeing a mentally disturbed woman cry out for help. Either way, it is very clear that Rep. Taylor-Greene should seek psychiatric help as soon as possible. With the socialized healthcare she gets from the government, she won’t even have to pay for it!
