Far from learning any lessons or feeling any kind of shame over the outcry over the far-right wing’s deeply offensive invocation of the horrors of the Holocaust to demonize the Biden administration’s efforts to save lives and convince people to get the COVID-19 vaccine, the nihilistic zealots in the Republican Party have decided to lean in.
Modern political conservatism today is mostly focused on “owning the libs,” and this is obvious from the deliberate escalation of Democrats Are Nazis rhetoric from the furthest fringes of the Republican Party, the Sedition Caucus consisting of members like Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), Lauren Boebert (R-CO), and Scott Perry (R-PA).
One day after Marjorie Taylor Greene compared the Biden administration’s vaccine canvassing program to the Nazi “Brownshirts” who committed the Kristallnacht pogrom against German Jews, her partner-in-conspiracy Lauren Boebert followed suit, complaining the Biden had deployed his “Needle Nazis” to Colorado’s Mesa County, where she complained they were “coercing” her district to get the “experimental” vaccine.
Add your name to demand Congress raise the minimum wage to $15 per hour!
To top it all off, she wondered if she was in “Communist China,” because there wasn’t enough offensive hyperbole in there already.

The people of my district are more than smart enough to make their own decisions about the experimental vaccine and don’t need coercion by federal agents.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki set the record straight yesterday on CNN’s New Day, responding to Taylor Greene’s outrageous accusations:
“What we’re trying to do here as the federal government is to protect the American people and save lives, prevent people from getting COVID and the coronavirus, and what we’ve seen over the course of the last several months is one of the biggest barriers is access, and people knowing when they can get the vaccine, where they can get the vaccine, the efficacy, and safety of the vaccine. It’s up to every individual to decide if they’re going to get vaccinated, as we hear reports from the CDC about the rise of the Delta variant, one of the most transmissible variants we’ve seen there, this is about protecting people and saving lives, and that’s a role we’re going to play as the federal government, and we’re going to use whatever tools and tactics we think will be effective.”
"We don't take any of our health and medical advice from Marjorie Taylor Greene. So I can assure everyone of that."

It is sickening to see the efforts that these extremists are going to demonize the administration’s efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19 and save lives everywhere. 4 million people have died from COVID-19 across the world, but apparently that’s not enough for these death cult worshippers who abuse history, nuance, and definition with breathtaking arrogance.
