MAGA fans lined up for Trump event in Alabama this afternoon frustrated by weather woes
Defying all common sense, crowds of MAGA supporters assembled this afternoon in an Alabama cow pasture for a rally held by Donald Trump and his GOP political allies, with a majority of the crowd not even bothering to wear masks to prevent the spread of the highly infectious Delta variant of the COVID-19 virus.
While the official festivities have yet to begin, people have been posting footage from the event on Twitter which we’ll include here to give you a taste of what it would be like to attend in person, minus the health risk (except for perhaps, your mental health) and the threat of thunderstorm bearing down on the rally.
One thing most people aren’t likely to regret missing is the entertainment for the people standing in line to enter the rally.

Some people showed their supposed “patriotism” by violating the regulations on how the American flag design can be used.
This is what I would call desecration of the American flag. Trump rally today. pic.twitter.com/mFzvpYcGPo

Others brought the whole family, indoctrinating them with their political propaganda from an early age.

Add your name to demand Congress raise the minimum wage to $15 per hour!
Delusions among the MAGA faithful abounded.

The crazy didn’t stop with the regular rally attendees. Right-wing luminaries like My Pillow CEO and election conspiracy theorist Mike Lindell added their own special brand of insanity to the mix.
Mike Lindell has just arrived at the Trump rally today. After his August 13 deadline for Trump to be reinstated has now passed, he says it’s still going to happen. Now he has changed it to the Supreme Court ordering a new election in 2021. pic.twitter.com/jbmIuJFX82

With the rally meant to help support the Senate candidacy of extremist Congressman Mo Brooks (R-AL) — one of the main instigators at the January 6th “Stop the Steal” rally that devolved into the violent insurrectionists march on the Capitol — his presence at the rally was no surprise. His continued refusal to recognize Joe Biden as the current legitimate president of the United States suggests that he should not be allowed to continue to serve in Congress in any role whatsoever for a minute longer.
All the sedition all-stars are in the house at the Trump rally. Mo Brooks says, “The President of the US is gonna make sure … that MAGA Mo Brooks is the candidate to elect to the US Senate for the State of Alabama.” (I don’t think Biden will ever say that). pic.twitter.com/GxjIU1rmjQ

The size of the anticipated crowd for this Trump rally may not be as big as the twice-impeached ex-president might have hoped due to the thunderstorms that rolled over the site during the afternoon and forced the Secret Service to shut down its metal detectors to screen for weapons to avoid the risk of lightning strikes.

While it looks like the crowds won’t be quite as large as anticipated, perhaps the level of COVID transmission that takes place will also be smaller than anticipated.
With the main event of speeches from people including Reps. Mo Brooks and Marjorie Taylor Greene still to come, expect the event to generate more news. Be sure to check in with Occupy Democrats for coverage of all the lies and misinformation to come.
