It wouldn’t be a leap too far to say that Donald Trump thinks that the United States of America is about to be added to the list of countries that he considers “shitholes.”
Trump famously called Haiti, El Salvador, and a host of African nations by that term early in his presidency while speaking with a bipartisan group of senators at the White House in January of 2018, denigrating the foreign nations with a term considerably more vulgar than the usual derogatory description of “Third World” applied by those in developed countries.
Today, Trump issued a press release through his representative Liz Harrington — the woman who helps the disgraced ex-president work around his social media ban by posting his statements to Twitter — that predicted in apocalyptic tones that “The United States will soon be considered a Third World Nation.”
"The United States will soon be considered a Third World Nation. There has never been anything like what is happening at our Border. Millions of people have already poured in, but many more than that are coming!" – President Donald J. Trump pic.twitter.com/Pt50QwZv69

While it is unfathomable as to why the senior executives at Twitter haven’t suspended Harrington’s account because of this blatant workaround for the banning of Donald Trump’s posts on the platform, her continued presence there allows us to share some of the heated responses to the latest brain fart that continues Trump’s long history of racist fear-mongering over immigration issues.
If anything the descent of the United States into a society with massive inequality between the ultra-rich and a large underclass of struggling Americans is largely due to Republican policies of cutting the social services safety net and preventing the passage of universal health care and affordable higher education since the Reagan era in the 1980s and was exacerbated by the GOP tax giveaway to billionaires when Trump was president.
If Donald Trump thinks the U.S. is turning into a Third World country, he has only himself and his racist, anti-immigrant attitudes to blame.
